Talk:Timeline of Fandom on LiveJournal
Brainstorming things to include
I had to put in a couple of test entries to make the graphical timeline work even as a draft. We can add whatever dates we want to the template: Template:TimelineLivejournal Suggestions so far: founding of LJ, the various times it's changed ownership, The Great LJ DDOS of 2011, Boldthrough, Strikethrough. Coms and fandom usage of LJ
I'm not sure what should go in this section, but I recommend against including fandom-specific comms here, or the section will be a mile long. Since the title of the article says "Timeline", we could remove the proposed (empty) sections in favor of a bulleted list of events arranged in chronological order and include named wanks/controversies, site changes (introduction of tags, loss of comment subject lines), when major panfandom comms were started or ended, when rival services that fans migrated to started, etc.--æþel (talk) 16:34, 13 January 2013 (UTC)
- Another possibility for this section is to link to separate pages that lay out timelines by fandom. I started Timeline of Podfic Communities. Timeline of Bandom (Decaydance+, My Chemical Romance) is mostly about LJ as well.--aethel (talk) 14:45, 16 April 2017 (UTC)
