I added some info but a lot of it was focused on a more gen side of fandom. The title of the page is very shippy? Should there be two pages; maybe just make the main page name "Suez Canal obstruction" and let the current title be the redirect? -- Error cascade (talk) 07:11, 27 March 2021 (UTC)

Yes, Ever Given/Suez Canal could always be turned into a section on the page. Making the entry's title sound very shippy was just my terrible sense of humour taking over. Sorry.
I'll just move the page to Suez Canal Obstruction (pls see Fanlore's upper case policy Help:Naming Conventions). --SecurityBreach (talk) 08:49, 27 March 2021 (UTC)

Different Sections for References and Notes

Hi, I don't understand why we have different sections for References and Notes on this page. I just find this confusing. Can we merge the sections? Or is there a reason I simply don't know? --SecurityBreach (talk) 09:33, 27 March 2021 (UTC)

The entries in the notes section provide extra information, while references are just supposed to provide the source of information stated in the article. "Notes" means the same thing as "Footnotes". I think that they should stay separate because having [Note] instead of the reference # lets readers know that there is additional information to be had by clicking through to the note, not just a source for the information already provided. If you can think of a way to work the information in the footnotes into the page's text then they wouldn't be needed, though, which might be good? - Hoopla (talk) 21:28, 27 March 2021 (UTC)
I think the information currently in the Notes section could all be added in-text in the Memes section, but I also don't have an issue with putting it in notes, so I'm not fussed if we leave it. --enchantedsleeper (talk) 21:45, 27 March 2021 (UTC)
