Reason for controversy
I'm not in exchange fandom and I'm worried I'm being a bit dense here, but reading the article made me a bit confused on its controversy. I understand, based on the Exchange Etiquette page and what this page says, that rejecting a fic immediately is considered rude. However, is that the only reason it caused wank in the exchange fandom? The article doesn't directly state it so I can only infer, but is the actual reason for the wank because the person said all ships were NoTPs and the person wrote them a polyfic anyways? :o Though the infobox says the fanfic was gen and not romance, so it doesn't sound like an actual ship fic based on that, especially since in Steven Universe not all fusions are considered romantic, and even among fans they often see Garnet, Pearl, and Amethyst like parents whether or not they ship them. It just makes me a tad confused about what actually caused the person to reject it immediately, and I think perhaps the article could be a little more clear on that somehow.
