Should we have a separate doujinshi category? Putting djs under zines doesn't seem right to me. --MegR 15:38, 9 March 2010 (UTC)

I think we should have a separate cat. I feel like I'm pounding a square peg into a round hole with them. Mrs. Potato Head 15:58, 9 March 2010 (UTC)
Cool! I probably should not have buried this on a talk page of a PoTC dj; how do we actually get a new cat, do you know? I assume not anyone can make one.--MegR 18:39, 10 March 2010 (UTC)
I have no idea. Perhaps ask an admins person? Maybe put the request in a more visible place? Mrs. Potato Head 18:42, 10 March 2010 (UTC)
Fanlore talk:Categories maybe? Or Fanlore talk:Sitemap? I never know where to put discussion so that it is easily found. half the time I can't even find the discussions I started again...*lol*--RatCreature 18:50, 10 March 2010 (UTC)
Either of those places, and/or the Bug Tracker, and/or email the wiki committee directly. From what they've said they're considering expanding the categories soon, so it probably wouldn't hurt to email the suggestion directly to make sure they see it while they're working out details. --Arduinna 19:13, 10 March 2010 (UTC)
I created the Category:Doujinshi as a subcat of Print Media since Zines are also a subcat of Print Media. Since pages aren't automatically added to parent categories, this doesn't appear to be a problem so far, but I understand that zines or doujinshi can be online? --æthel 02:08, 20 April 2010 (UTC)
It's kind of a gray area. I don't know much about zines but there's the online AarinSecret which identifies as an magazine, and webcomics are sometimes called doujinshi when they're in manga/doujinshi style. The doujinshi template is specifically for printed doujinshi, as is the Doujinshi entry, if that makes a difference? And thanks for the Doujinshi category, I'm glad to see it. -- Kylara 04:10, 20 April 2010 (UTC)
