Regarding the recent removal of content from this page with the explanation: "(Removed content based on "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child", which is disliked by the core fandom, rarely mentioned by fanfiction writers, and shouldn't be included in this article made by and for fans.)" -- This statement is opinion. Other fans may have different opinions. Policing content for these reasons does not fit with Fanlore's mission. See Fanlore:Plural Point of View for more on this topic. MPH 00:45, 22 June 2023 (UTC)

With my Fanlore Policy & Admin hat on, I'm agreeing with MPH and undoing that edit, although I'll leave the most recent one regarding "writing mechanics". KM, please take a look at the PPOV policy linked above - we welcome your perspective as a fan that you see this disliked and avoided in the fandom circles where you move, but we do aim to welcome a variety of fannish experiences here! A section on this page exploring "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child" and Lord Voldemort and its level of popularity/unpopularity would be good (some quotes, some fanworks, all with a variety of opinions). Perhaps other sections could be added about fan opinion and fanworks regarding Voldemort and other canon sources. These are all interesting topics! MPH 12:34, 22 June 2023 (UTC) MPH (talk)
Those are all good ideas, MPH! And I put this into the "why" of the ExpandArticle notice on the Page, but also some discussion/explanation about when he's called Tom or Lord Voldemort, etc (there seem to be Relationship pages using both, which is fine, but I am not familiar with his fandom to know why so that'd be interesting).
