Category sorting and merge with fic page?

Should we sort put this in Category:Avatar: The Last Airbender Fanfiction? I vote yes, since the main fic page is in there. On that note, does this need to be its own page, or would it make more sense to combine w/ the page for the fanfic that it is an adaption of? -- Quaelegit (talk) 06:04, 3 August 2022 (UTC)

Fwiw, I feel very strongly that the podfic, being a fanwork in its own right, deserves its own page separate from the fic page, with its specific template, categories etc. I would also feel uncomfortable if we started putting "fanfiction" categories on podfic pages. -- Greedy dancer (talk) 09:00, 3 August 2022 (UTC)
Just FYI this is the third rail of podfic/fanlore discourse.[1] Only pages about fanfics should be sorted into the fanfiction subcategories. Podfics can go in a podfic subcategory if there are 5+ ATLA podfics with Fanlore pages or in the main Category:Avatar: The Last Airbender category if there aren't. Since there's a page's worth of information about this podfic, including reviews of the podfic itself, there's no reason to merge it with a page about the fanfic.--aethel (talk) 13:48, 3 August 2022 (UTC)
Thank you to both of you for explaining the issue. I won't make any changes. -- Quaelegit (talk) 00:21, 4 August 2022 (UTC)
