Characterization?

I haven’t tackled it yet because I think it’ll take some wordsmithing, but I want to tweak/expand that he’s a “morally dubious” character - I (think I) know what you mean, I definitely agree his morality looks tenuous or pragmatic or variable from the outside, but I’m not sure “dubious” is the way to describe him, perhaps “ambivalent”? I’ll try to maintain PPOV that some people find him shocking when he doesn’t act in what they think is a moral way and some people headcanon him as autistic (I don’t feel qualified to judge but at least neuro-divergent) - but to me what stands out most is that he straightforwardly tells us that he’s often not sure what the right thing to do is, so he tries to find someone to provide guidance on that.
