Starsky and Hutch Appreciation Society is a gen anthology published in the UK by a fan club while the show was still on the air. This zine may be the first Starsky and Hutch zine issued.

The same fan club also published five newsletters, some containing short fiction, including a serialized "Sweet Revenge" story that was never finished.

A Fan Remembers

SHAS, back in the '70s, published the first UK SH stories, written by fans. There were five issues of the SHAS Magazine, published at irregular intervals...mimeo-ed typescript at 65 pence a copy. A real labour of love. [1]

A Story Later a Con Skit?

Knight in Blue Armour, or No Hope for Hutch was a con skit performed at a very early SHareCon (April 27, 1991). It's based on a combination of two fics (likely by the same author) that were mentioned in the 1989 issue of Tell Me Something I Don't Know! #15. The con skit may have been a reenactment or satire of that fic/s.

Reactions and Reviews: Issue 1

I have a copy of a foreign zine, if Vonnie would like me to send her a copy. It is S.H.A.S. Fanzine No. 1, 1977-78, from Great Britain. It is put out by the Starsky and Hutch Appreciation Society. There are mildly entertaining stories in it: THE LOSER (Starsky's qirl is working for the bad guys); DEATH SCARE (Starsky thinks Hutch is dead, then discovers he isn't); ALL IN A DAY'S WORK (Dobey is kidnapped); NO HOPE FOR HUTCH (Hutch will die without a needed operation. The only available doctor is abroad); DOPE RING (old friend of Hutch's is killed in the line of duty. Hutch adjusts); and a cross word puzzle. There are 42 pages. [2]
