Re-Compiled Affairs is a Man from U.N.C.L.E. custom zine compiled by one fan for another fan.

the cover is a photocopy of Classified Affairs #5 by TACS, with the title altered, Classified Affairs #5

It contains six Napoleon/Illya stories and two poems photocopied from other zines.

The zine was compiled by Donna/Gilrain as a gift for Rosemary C..

The reprinted poorly photocopied art is by TACS, Suzan Lovett, and Angi Towski.

There was only one original zine as it was a gift, though perhaps others are floating about.

The Zine's Dedication

Welcome to the one and only copy of RE-COMPILED AFFAIRS, a fanzine put together just for you from the stories that your humble servant likes the best in all Uncledom, excluding your wonderful stories, of course. I’m assuming you have already read those.

[...]

I hope you don’t think this whole ‘zine idea is silly. I decided to send you copies of the stories I’m always talking about with the hopes that you don’t already have them and then it occurred to me that an easy way to keep them together would be to bind them like any other fanzine. Then I started putting it together and decided if I was going to do it, I was going to do it right.

After all, how many people in fandom have had their very own, personal UNCLE ‘zine?

May this humble offering bring you a great deal of pleasure.

The Compiler's Comments About the Content

NEEDS and WITH A BANG were both influential in defining my Napoleon in LOVE IS A BATTLEFIELD. As a Napoleon admirer, I thought you might also enjoy these two stories that portray him as both lovable and vulnerable. I should also mention, that the Illya in these stories, makes me shiver. He is so HOT!

BETTER LATE is my all time favorite by Theresa Kyle. There’s not a lot of action, however, the older but wiser Napoleon and Illya is this story are irresistible. This was one that I wish had lasted longer because I hated to see it end. Apparently, she has not gotten much praise for this one, and I cannot imagine why. It is beautiful.

I threw in LONESOME ROAD so that you could have something to make you feel better about Kate Drummond. That is, if you like this story as much as I do. I think it’s her best.

FAIR TRADE was a last minute choice and something different from Ms. Kyle. This is another one for the Solo fans and shows a different side to his hedonism.

I know you are not fond of writers who don’t come through with explicit sex, so I hope you can forgive me for including DO THE WALLS COME DOWN. I just could not help myself. The sexual tension in this story is enough to pull you all the way to the end, andI think that Elizabeth Urich gives us enough cuddling to satisfy. I really love this story, Ro. Maybe you will, too.
