Project: Eden's Garden[Notes 1], (commonly abbreviated as P:EG or PJEG,) is an American fangame for the Dangan Ronpa series developed by a team of fans, with the project directors being Tako0mari (Tako) and JuveyD (Juvey). It is a Fangan Ronpa, which is a genre in the fandom where fans create their own cast of original characters and have them go through the games' "killing game" format, in which a cast of (typically) highschoolers are trapped in their school and must get away with murder if they want to escape.
Project Eden's Garden is incredibly popular for a fangan, having a large recursive fandom, complete with online events and fanworks. Many characters are fan favorites, with shipping them being popular. The game itself is also technically impressive. Each student has voice acting, done by fans of the Dangan Ronpa series, and the game's visual style is like that of the official series.
Many P:EG fans are also in the recursive fandoms for Super Danganronpa Another 2 and Danganronpa: Despair Time as of 2025.
Plot Overview
Eden's Garden Academy, a school designed to find the best and brightest of America's youth, has prepared a special orientation for its very first cohort of Ultimate students. But things are not so car when Damon Maitsu, the Ultimate Debater[Notes 2], finds himself waking up in a strange academy. With his 15 other classmates stuck in the same situation, they are told that a killing game will commence. It's up to Damon and his classmates to survive this killing game, and uncover the secrets that lay buried under the mystery that surrounds Eden's Garden Academy.
