Malfoy Manor is the ancestral home of the Malfoy family in the Harry Potter series. It is located in Wiltshire, which is in the southwest corner of England, just south of Wales.

Canon Details

In Chamber of Secrets, Draco mentions a secret chamber under the drawing room floor that later figured in the Trio's imprisonment at the Manor in Deathly Hallows; it was where they and the other prisoners were held while Bellatrix Lestrange was torturing Hermione.

In Deathly Hallows, we learn that the gate to the Manor is charmed to prevent just anyone entering, at least during Voldemort's time there, as his Death Eaters must show their Marks before they can pass through.

We also learn that the Manor grounds are home to a flock of albino peacocks, owned by Lucius.

Fanfiction

Malfoy Manor is a very popular setting for fanfic, especially those involving the Malfoys, Blacks, or Death Eaters. The Manor especially figures in fanfiction as a way to make the Malfoys suffer after the war -- by taking it away, or leaving it barren and the Malfoys with no means of income to restore it.

There had been some debate before Order of the Phoenix as to where it might be located, and until Deathly Hallows, there had been no insight into the size of the Manor.
