Excerpts
"How did you first encounter the Wintershock ship? I believe I read ot3 fic of Steve/Darcy/Bucky long before I encountered any Darcy/Bucky fic on their own. The first ot3 fic I read was also the very first Steve/Darcy/Bucky fic on ao3 by jadziabear."
"When did you first start making fandom art?The first thing I made for fandom, aside from scribbling fic, were a bunch of little story graphics I made on my phone. I haven’t got photoshop, or any knowledge of it, but fiddling about with images and collating them together to tell a story was soothing. The first fandom artdoll I made was a Darcy doll for dopemixtape, not long after that I slipped a notch or two down into depression and I slowly lost the desire to create physical art. I had made a few things prior to that first Darcy doll (I’ve made two), which were fandom based and/or just plain nerdy but there was a jump last year when I made a Kate/Hawkeye doll for becisvolatile. It was the start of something new.
In part working on the Kate doll was the start of art therapy for me, on my road to recovery from depression and anxiety. It was the first time I realised I could make things the way I see them in my head.Take all these characters that I love and interpret them in pencil and paint, fabric and buttons."
"Of all the art you’ve created, which piece is your favorite and why? Oh, gosh, I have no idea, I like to think there is a little piece of me in each of my creations. I did really love how Bucky turned out, Steve in the suit, and Peggy in her service uniform, but my favourite doll I’ve made is probably the baby Groot doll, or possibly the Morrigan doll with her raven wing shawl."
"Do you have any favorite artists or pieces of art for Wintershock made by other artists? I don’t have any specific favourite artists for wintershock art, but I do love to see any and all art on my dash. We all have to start somewhere and I think sharing your art or your stories online is very brave. Art is very personal, both the things we make and how we view art."
