Jencat was a talented photographer who also exercised her creativity by creating photo-manip art , writing fanfiction and publishing fanzines. She attended and supported both the Escapade and Bascon conventions. In 2013, one of her customized calendars sold at the charity auction for $300. At conventions, she would diligently collect unused hotel toiletries from convention attendees to take to women's shelters.
She passed away in August 2023 after a long battle with cancer.

[Patt] I've only been to one convention and that’s when I met Jencat. She made a ruler with Sentinel pictures and a pencil holder covered on Jim and Blair pictures. I still. Have them and now I’ll have some kind thoughts about her. She was so sweet to us. This was in San. Francisco.[1]
