Jake Peralta/Amy Santiago is the canon het pairing of Detective Jake Peralta and Amy Santiago on the American police sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine.
Canon
Jake and Amy are detectives at the 99th precinct in Brooklyn. As the series progresses, they both realise that they have romantic feelings for one another, eventually beginning a relationship. In season 5, they become engaged and marry in the final episode.
Fandom
Jake/Amy is the most popular pairing in this fandom, and the gen pairing of these two characters is also common.[1]
Common Tropes & Storylines
- Casefics are common as both characters are police detectives. These works sometimes involve one or both characters going undercover and works set before they began their canon relationship often involve them pretending to be a couple.
- Marriage works are common and include Woke Up Married and Marriage of Convenience as well as more traditional engagement and marriage fics.
