In Your Eyes is a 2014 American paranormal romance film directed by Brin Hill and written by Joss Whedon. The film had its world premiere at the 2014 Tribeca Film Festival on April 20. Immediately afterwards, it was self-distributed online instead of taking on theatrical distribution.

"Two seemingly unconnected souls (Dylan and Rebecca) from different corners of the United States make a telepathic bond that allows them to see, hear and feel the other's experiences, creating a bond that apparently can't be broken."

Very little fandom surrounds the actual film and storyline, at least two fics have been posted to Archive of Our Own and each based on the characters. Gifs, picspams, and screenshots with quotes have appeared on Tumblr. Due to the similarities of Dylan and Rebecca's relationship and experience to a soulbond, various fandoms started to write In Your Eyes AU, an alternate universe or a fusion in which the two main characters that are soulmates can experience each other's lives (see through each others eyes, feel their emotions or hurts, hear their voices, etc.) before eventually meeting.

To Spike, Buffy is a normal teenage girl with a few rough patches that landed her on the wrong side of the tracks. To Buffy, Spike is a regular Joe in love with a crazy chick. What happens when the newly activated Slayer moves to Sunnydale, falls for Spike's worst enemy, and finally meets the man behind the visions, only to find out he's a master vampire looking for a cure for his vampire love, Drusilla, and the head of the Slayer? In other words, her head. A story of a Slayer and vampire desperate to look beyond who they are individually for something their destined for together.
