Gold Saints are the highest rank Saints in Athena's army in Saint Seiya. Their power are way above Silver or Bronze Saints. These warriors wear a Gold Cloth, each one repesenting a zodiac sign.
Although they are not the protagonists, even part of them were villains in the original story, the Gold Saints are the characters most loved by fans. They have appeared and even starred in all subsequent spin-offs, even competing in importance with the main characters, as is the case with Saint Seiya: The Lost Canvas which uses two new sets of Gold Saints different from the original series ones, although almost identical in appearance and power. Omega Chapter and Saint Seiya: Dark Wing and Saint Seiya: Next Dimension, also use their own sets of Gold Saints, with this last one having a thirtieth Gold Cloth: the Ophiuchus Cloth, which is later degraded to silver.
Gold Saints in Fandom
People have created their own set of Gold Saints, such as Toffee, in her Unbroken-verse where she features Scorpio Blood and Aquarius Ganymede, two original characters created by her and who were the teachers of Milo and Camus respectively.
A Saintsona is a Saint Seiya character based on oneself. For the Gold Saint version, people draw themselves, or an OC based on themselves with the Gold Cloth of their zodiac sign.
There is a common headcanon often mistaken as canon, that Gold Saints need to "ask for permission" from other Gold Saints in order to cross through their temples. This is never shown once in the source material.
Scaling
Much is written and debated about the level of power of the Gold Saints. Fans create tier tables, where they rank them by strength. Saga and Shaka are almost always on top, with the last spots being Deathmask, Aldebaran, Camus, and Aphrodite.
Shipping
The Gold Saints surpassed the Bronze Saints in popularity soon after they were introduced, and Camus x Milo became the ship of choice for many people in both the Eastern and Western fandoms.
Criticism and Controversies
Since the popularity of the Gold Saints is so high, fans have complained that only they receive attention in the video games and spin-offs of the franchise, compared to other characters that barely get content like the Poseidon Marinas or the Silver Saints.

Arrangements with official merchandise
It is a common practice in the Japanese fandom, to get official dolls and make clothes for them, then get some miniature decorations to create scenes.
