cover by Jean Kluge. On the cover are Jim and Blair (Sentinel and Frank and Tim (Homicide: Life on the Street)
art by Suzan Lovett. This is one to two tableaus drawn by Suzan for her Homicide: Life on the Street novella. Very little Homicide print art exists as the fandom, which remained small, took root at a time when many writers were moving their activities to the Internet. This tableau focuses on the character of Tim Bayliss
art by Suzan Lovett. This tableau, also by Suzan Lovett focuses on the character of Frank Pembleton. Portraits of people of color are relatively rare in fandom, reflecting the dearth of minority representation in Western media film and television
Reactions and Reviews
[Dragons of War]: Has my one of my favorite TPM stories, which is Dragons of War by Elizabeth Holden. Also, Suzan Lovett's Homicide story is a favorite, even if the story doesn't have a happily ever after ending. I got an earlier issue of the zine, so it has some of the same problems that Motet 3 does. I'm betting that the editor corrected the problems in Enter' when she corrected Motet 3.[1]
[Means, Motive, and Opportunity]: ...this tale is told in flashback from Blair's point of view. It describes his reaction to the beginning of the process of becoming a police officer, and the changes in his relationship with Jim. The style of the story is fresh and unique, as is the "voice" of Blair - it feels authentic and new among so many fics with a similar theme.[2]
