Elora/Mel Medarda, also known as Melora, is a ship from the animated series Arcane featuring the characters Mel Medarda and Elora. This ship grew in popularity after Season 2 of Arcane.
Canon
Elora is Mel's secretary and best friend. They have a close and private relationship up until the Black Rose uses Elora to manipulate and torture Mel, eventually ending in Elora's death.
Fandom
The fandom is more active on Twitter.
One of Mel's lines from League has her say to Jayce, her former lover, on the moment of his death: "Another love torn away. Goodbye Jayce."[1] which some fans headcanon as Mel referring to Elora.
Non MelJay pairings featuring Mel are frequently accused solely of existing in order to break up MelJay for JayVik.[2][3] This is one of them.
Fans also see the resemblance between Elora and Jayce as another indication that Mel could "have a type".[4]
