Drago Bludvist is the main antagonist of How to Train Your Dragon 2.
Canon Background
When he was young, dragons apparently killed his parents and took his left arm. His past made him hate dragons, and made him realize their power. He realized he could use dragons to "control those who support [him], and get rid of those who don't."[1] He has history with Stoick, who he once tried to kill, along with many other chiefs during a meeting of the chiefs. It is unclear exactly how long ago this occurred, but it was presumably over 20 years ago, and since before that time, Drago has been amassing a dragon army with the help of the Bewilderbeast he has under his control. He apparently found and raised this Bewilderbeast when it was young.
