Hercules is a 1997 Disney film and it had an animated series.

Canon

The son of the Greek Gods Zeus and Hera is stripped of his immortality as an infant and must become a true hero in order to reclaim it.

Once Upon a Time

The Once Upon a Time television series had its own version of the Disney tale appear in Season 5, where the main characters go down to the Underworld to save Killian Jones (Captain Hook). Characters from Disney's Hercules are Hades, Hercules, Megara, Cerberus, and Zeus. Things however took a turn from the canon, like most adaptions on the series.

Hercules was the son of Zeus and a mortal woman, and had to complete the Twelve Labors to reunite with his family on Mount Olympus. Before attempting the twelfth task, slaying Cerberus, Hercules saves Snow White from a hunter trap. The two became friends and having mutual feelings for each other, say goodbye with a kiss. Later Hercules tries to save Megara from Cerberus, however both are killed by the three-headed dog. Both are sent to the underworld. Much later, Hercules is reunited with the grown-up Snow White, Mary Margaret, when she arrives to the Underworld with her daughter to save Hook. They later defeat Cerberus alongside Megara. Zeus appears when Killian Jones sacrifices himself to save the others, returning him to the land of the living.

Hades was still the villain, however it's revealed he has past romantic ties with Zelena aka Wizard of Oz's Wicked Witch of the West. In order to protect her daughter, she allows herself to trust him in order to return back to Storybrooke. However after Hades kills Robin Hood (Robin's father), Zelena kills Hades.

Fandom

Fandom for the Disney film and animated series is fairly rare. Fanfiction is mainly posted to FanFiction.net and Archive of Our Own. Other fanworks such as icons were mainly posted to multifandom, personal or Disney-focused LiveJournal communities, fanart is mainly posted to DeviantART. There are on various fanvideos on YouTube, while most are of the fandom's main pairings, some also feature Disney crossovers and Non-Disney. Some gifs or picspams have appeared at Tumblr, including fanart, cosplay, fancasts, and character/pairing aesthetics.

While most people have mixed feelings for the film and/or television series due to the change of Greek Mythology canon (Zeus/Hera, Hercules instead of Herakles, Hera's Hercules mother), there are quite a few that still enjoy it and treasure many aspects of it. This includes James Woods as Hades, Megara, the Muses, Pain & Panic, and its music.

Shipping

Popular pairings are Hercules/Meg with Hades/Meg a close second. Hercules/Hades/Meg also appears. Crossover pairings with other Disney and Non-Disney films have appeared; for example with the following fandoms Pocahontas, Beauty and the Beast, and Anastasia.

Hercules/Snow White, aka "Snowcules", has a small following as well as a few fanworks thanks to OUAT.
