Category talk:Fannish Podcasts

So according to the header, this is for specifically fannish podcasts. While I understand that the focus of fanlore is fannish content and that fannish podcasts are important and should be properly categorized as podcasts, categorizing pro/non-fannish podcasts with Category:Radio is confusing and in function not really how the categories are being used. With the rise of fandoms OF podcasts, this is only going to get more confusing, imo. Should we maybe clarify language and say this is a category for podcasts in general, or maybe create a pro podcast category that's more intuitive than radio? --Punkpixieprince (talk) 02:09, 12 March 2019 (UTC)

I think we should change this category to something like Category:Fannish Podcasts and create a separate category for Podcast as a canon type. I'm not sure what it should be called though. Category:Podcast Fandoms?--aethel (talk) 02:49, 14 March 2019 (UTC)

Thanks for doing all that work! It looks like Help:Fanworks needs to be updated, tho - esp since the template pages seem to, you know, point at it as a place to ask for further clarification. - Hoopla (talk) 02:06, 12 April 2019 (UTC)

I added a link to the new podcast episode template, but I didn't see any wrong or missing information about podcasts on Help:Fanworks. We could update the help reference to something like "See also Help:Fanworks" so it doesn't imply there's additional info about podcasts in particular there.--aethel (talk) 02:50, 12 April 2019 (UTC)
