Dedicated fancomics subcategory
I was surprised to find that we don't actually have a dedicated fancomics subcategory on Fanlore. On the Template:Fancomic page there is a note saying, if there are enough articles, do we want a separate Category:Fancomics?. It also links to a Dreamwidth post from 2012 where fanwork subcategories were discussed, though it doesn't look like anyone raised the possibility of a fancomics subcategory at that time.
There aren't a huge number of transclusions of the fancomic infobox, but we've created categories for less, and I think that not having the visibility of a dedicated subcategory isn't doing fancomics any favours on that front. Or to put it another way: is there any reason why we shouldn't have a fancomic subcategory? --enchantedsleeper (talk) 23:36, 2 January 2021 (UTC)

Sub-Categorizing Fanart by Fandom?
I was wondering if it would be possible to create fandom subcategories for fanart in a similar style to what we have for fanfiction: [[Category: Star Trek Fanart]] for example. There's a lot of art collected, but no way to link to a specific fandom's fanart on a page. Rossi (talk) 11:01, 15 April 2023 (UTC)
