Camille O'Connell is a main character on The Originals, the spin-off TV series of The Vampire Diaries.

Canon

Cami first appeared in Season 4 Episode 20 "The Originals", where she first meets Klaus and then later Marcel.

Cami also appears in the The Originals series, where it was revealed that she came to New Orleans to find out the truth behind her twin brother's death.

Fandom

Some of the initial reaction to Camille was negative, as there were fans (most of them Klaroline shippers) that saw the character as an imitation of Caroline Forbes.[1] It stemmed primarily from the idea that Camille was cast as a potential love interest for Klaus.
