Bohemian Weasel is an English artist living in Portugal. She is a Lord of the Rings and Star Wars fan artist whose work has appeared in fanzines and on trading/sketch cards.
- I did a 2 year course in mixed arts including fine art, graphic design, fashion and textiles, photography, sculpture, and all sorts of fabulous flim flam. Then off to Scotland for a 4-year Illustration degree at the infamous Glasgow School of Art....Since moving here I've exhibited paintings in solo and shared exhibitions; illustrated four Portuguese children's books; drawn/designed web-graphics for some splendid sites; tutored privately in art, and done hundreds of commissions for lovely people all over the world.
- But what I love doing best is illustrating characters from my favourite stories (books, films, fairytales or history) and doing them in a way that pleases me first and foremost. This led me into the world of 'sketch cards' (little 2.5 x 3.5 inch trading-card sized originals) and to work for companies like Topps who first commissioned me for 'Lord of the Rings, Masterpieces II' and then later for several Star Wars projects. Thanks to them I'm now an official Lucasfilm artist.
