A babygirl is a character, usually male, often interpreted by fans as adorably angsty, similar to woobie or poor little meow meow. They are usually "bad boys" and often middle-aged.
A popular meme "Why Does X Call You Babygirl? originates from a recaptioned panel from chapter 98 of the manga Mob Psycho 100 where Shigeo asks Reigen Arataka why Serizawa calls him babygirl; this has become a popular redraw for babygirls in other fandoms.
