And a Star to Steer Her By is a Merlin/Arthur Star Trek 2009 fusion by ras_elased. A 2,000 word teaser snippet was posted for reel_merlin round 2 together with a fic trailer for the unfinished novel.
Summary (snippet): Arthur's first command is proving to be much more difficult than he'd anticipated.
In this fusion Merlin is a half-Vulcan who grew up among humans and therefore knows very little about his heritage. sandrainthesun created a cover manip for ras_elased story that shows Arthur in the captain's chair and Merlin as a Vulcan.[1]
The novel hasn't been finished but cover and trailer are pretty awesome on their own.
