afrai is a Malaysian writer who began to write fanfiction in 1999, but who says she was lurking on fan groups in the 1990s when she was a tiny fanlet. In her own words, she "used to only write quirky off-beat British lit fandoms, but ah, the times they have a-changed."
afrai originated the term fic fingers, indicating very short fic written in response to a comment or prompt on a journal.
