Zombieland is a live-action zombie comedy film.

Zombieland is a film that focuses on four individuals that survive the Zombie Apocalypse. Zombieland: Double Tap is the sequel to the film and follows the same four characters joined by a few others.

Main Characters

Bill Murray stars as himself in both the first and second film.

In the upcoming sequel, the below characters join the series:

  • Nevada (portrayed by Rosario Dawson)
  • Madison (portrayed by Zoey Deutch)
  • Albuquerque (portrayed by Luke Wilson)
  • Flagstaff (portrayed by Thomas Middleditch)
  • Berkeley (portrayed by Avan Jogia)
  • Dan Aykroyd as himself

Zombieland is a small fandom despite the fact that it was a critical acclaim and top-grossing zombie film until 2013's World War Z.[1] It was a Yuletide fandom[2] since 2009. The Zombieland fandom is still active however with works being posted every year. The fandom is mainly situated at FanFiction.net and LiveJournal, with works slowly being added to Archive of Our Own. The LiveJournal communities were created just days after the film's release.

The main pairings that took off were the slash pairing Columbus/Tallahassee and the canon het pairing Wichita/Columbus. Tallahassee/Little Rock is a fairly rare pairing mainly because of the age difference. Crossovers with other Zombie or other supernatural fandoms are fairly common.

With the release of the Zombieland: Double Tap trailer in July 2019, various gifs and discussion were posted to Tumblr and Facebook in response.
