You reminded me how much I LOVE RayK. Great clips, great pacing, a new and spiky perspective. Damn, he's expressive with his whole body, isn't he?

Worth a 3 hour download time. Thank you!

The editing is as slick as the song... and that's saying something because this is a pretty slick song :) In fact, the editing is so precise it feels effortless which is obviously what is required for this video. Nicely played.

Wow, that is *perfect* song choice. Just outstanding. The "I can be" concept captures Ray's struggles to determine who he is in the world, while showing how flexible he is, how chameleonic, really, and he doesn't always realize this is a strength. I love the rockin' feeling of the song, its gritty urbanness, which you've brought out so beautifully with the stuttery, quick editing -- clean cutting that looks dirty, how do you *do* that??? And of course, as this fandom insists that Ray is twitchy, those jump cuts and the emphasis on syncopation bring out the character even more.

I've made this vid a regular part of my routine, whenever I really need to cheer up and get on with it. Thanks for making it!

[comparing the use of the same video clip in three different vids]: In Zebra, the shot of Ray hitting Fraser cuts straight to Fraser hitting Ray. This is just part of the variety of Ray's experience and to my mind the shots are just kind of thrown in there as Fraser/RayK shorthand (because this is a significant moment in their relationship); it works because Zebra, the song, is about balancing opposites, old young, short tall, calm violent, so the shots balance each other.

I didn't know a thing about due South, let along Ray K, when someone showed me this. Absolutely a sentimental favorite - it was the beginning of a beautiful relationship. :D

bluemeridian[7]

Great clip control, speeding up moments or timing them with musical beats. Showcases Ray's prismatic nature and characteristic movement perfectly.

fail_fandomanon[8]

This is my favorite Due South vid ever, and I still can't entirely pin down why I love it so much but oh my god it makes me so happy.

I can't actually count the number of times I've watched this, for years, but it is one of my favorite vids ever.

justabi[10]

I swear to God, I love this vid like no other. I wasn't even *in* the Due South Fandom and this vid hit all the right notes -- and it still holds up. Excellent, excellent work; pacing, song, clips, just..what a fantastic character study. From both sides.

This is *amazing*. It’s all perfect, but the clips over “I could be first man or I could come last” - oh my god, my heart.

It's been so long since I last watched this! It's still so great and I'd forgotten quite how much I love RayK
