Worlds Apart is a gen Star Trek: TOS zine by Jenny Elson. It has the subtitle: "A Study of Earth and Vulcan in Fiction and Article."
It contains no interior illustrations.
It is a zine of speculative articles with Star Trek stories loosely linked to them, comparing Vulcan and Earth of the 23rd century and life then, both civilian and Starfleet.
This zine is laid out as a resource guide, with much info about life on Vulcan including death, birth, festivals, how Vulcan homes are constructed, etc. And Earth info about the Foundations of the new order, the Eugenics War, national boundaries, living under the sea, star bases, housing, etc. Also a section on Starship Routine and Service including day/night status, food/clothing, sexual relationships on board, etc. It is all fiction, (or at least mostly) of course, because we are dealing with a future Earth and an invented planet Vulcan and invented Starfleet, but the info is presented as non-fiction. There are also three fiction stories which include Spock and Kirk, the love and/or friendship between them.
The zine also contains three pieces of fiction.
There are two editions of this zine.
The original edition was published by Jenny Elson. It is undated (though probably 1978). It contains slightly more pages than the STAG edition, though this is probably due to how it was typed and formatted, rather than a difference in content.
The fiction starts on page 43 and ends on page 61.
The second edition is by STAG in 1979. This edition has 57 pages.
