Rapture is a multipart slash X-Files/Highlander crossover featuring Mulder and Methos. Some of the pieces on the part of Wombat's site titled The Funny Stuff were as widely known and read as the straightforward fanfiction—for example, Muldertorture, and Multiple Choice, a parody of Sentinel slash tropes written as a Cosmo quiz.
Wombat's Spotter's Guide to the Common Krycek and the accompanying Spotter's Guide to the Common Mulder likely helped to popularize the fannish use of the adj!noun naming construction, which is generally assumed to be an adaptation of a bang path. Several Krycek sub-species such as Bad to the Bone!Krycek, Bad but Lovin'!Krycek, Hot'n'dirty!Krycek or Misunderstood!Krycek and Mulder sub-subspecies such as Angst!Mulder, Basketcase!Mulder, HappySlut!Mulder, Sensitive!Mulder and WellAdjusted!Mulder are described.
