Comments

"Your descriptive style is stunning - so evocative - and the emotional journey you take us on is all the more affecting for its realism. You describe desire without weakness, love without sentimentality, innocence without naivety. There is a core strength to your Arthur and Merlin that shouts 'canon' and I can absolutely see them both reacting this way."[1]

"I adore your interpretation of both characters. I'll buy them written this way. The language is absolutely gorgeous, the setting so beautifully crafted, and the first-time dynamics convincing. I really like the way that Arthur is pleased and not entirely surprised that Merlin takes to it all so well. Arthur's slow and patient seduction is a killer. [...] Perfect story for a cold winter night."[2]

"The images you create in this are just beautiful; the landscapes, the men at the fire with their songs, and the images of Arthur and Merlin. [...] You took my breath away right from the beginning and I don't think I've gotten it back yet."[3]

"The sex is both utterly delicious and filled with such emotion that it's nearly overwhelming."[4]

"i loved the heady, cozy warmth of the fires and the camp and the delicately harsh beauty of the winter setting. and the brilliant attention to detail made everything near tangible. for example the wet/cold feel of the furs before. i loved shyly wanting merlin, and how we (through arthur) saw him go from curious and naive and timid(-ish) then slowly coming to wanting and impassioned and surer. and THE PATIENCE!!! the slow burning smoldering want of arthur and his gentleness with merlin truly got to me. you made arthur's patience believable here. to me. and merlin's shyness as well. fantastic job. and i love the last few lines in which arthur explains that what that is is unique to them. [...] the way you managed to combine tenderness and sweetness with unbelievable hotness left me speechless."[5]

a PWP. It’s winter. There’s a tent. I am tagging it as Canon!AU because of the characterization. It’s an older, more mature, experienced Arthur, with a shyer, inexperienced, but eager Merlin. First time. I sometimes like fics with a rougher, more historical Camelot, both in landscape, plot, and characterization. I really like the sweetness at the end, specifically the last line. Also: WINTER. ‘nuff said.[6]
