Clip Notes for Vidders

Here's the idea: We all remember Cliff Notes from High School - those little yellow and black books that told us all the important information in the books we couldn't be bothered to read, right?

Well, these are Clip Notes. Notes on all the important clips we can never find when we're vidding.

I started this while vidding in Babylon 5, and anyone who's into B5 knows that the episodes of any given sub-arc can all blend together making it really hard to remember if Cartagia was killed in "Falling Towards Apotheosis" or "The Long Night". That sort of thing. :)

The times currently shown for the clips are the time from the beginning of MY tape or the tape of the contributer. Yours will probably be different depending on how/if/when you edited commercials, if you taped at EP or SP, etc... I'd like to be able to add "Prologue", "Act #" or "Epilogue" for each one, but I'm lousy at remembering to note that when I watch the episodes. If you know, please tell me. :) Otherwise, at least my numbers should give you an idea of what clips come before/after what other clips.

I am working on Clip Notes for: Babylon 5, The Sentinel, due South and The Invisible Man. Other people have volunteered to send information on Stargate: SG1, Farscape and Highlander. PLEASE consider sending even one episode of your favorite fandom to me for this database. I'll be happy to do the coding, you can just send the info in a plain text email. Please send season information when you contribute so I can make these pages as simple to use as possible, Thanks!

Okay, in my little corner of fanish-space there are three basic kinds of fic, and I've written in them all.

Gen - there is nothing overtly romantic happening between two or more characters in the story

Het - there is something overtly romantic happening between two or more characters and both genders are involved.

Slash - there is something overtly romantic happening between two or more characters and only one gender is involved.

None of these designations have anything to do with your "movie rating" label. You can have an R rated Gen story if it's very violent, you can have a G rated slash story if the relationship is discussed, but nothing you wouldn't see on t.v. is shown in the story.
