Vex is a fictional character played by Laura Bailey on a popular D&D web series Critical Role. A twin sister to Vax'ildan, she was a member of Vox Machina during Campaign 1, before settling down in Whitestone with her husband.

Vex'ahlia as of Critical Role campaign 3: Hells Bells

Famously greedy, haggling with every merchant she interacted with. It was later revealed that her money insecurity stemmed from the way she grew up. Her greed was a common inside joke[1].

Fandom

Vex is always portrayed with blue feathers in her hair, due to the official character design by Kit Buss, who put them there without Laura's input. Fan artists continued with that character decision, despite the fact that no canon explanation for them was provided. After one fan artist created art portraying young Vax giving Vex the feathers to comfort her, Laura Bailey decided to accept that development as canon.[2].

Vex's most popular het pairing is Perc'ahlia. Her most popular platonic relationship is with her brother Vax'ildan.

With peace being brokered with their Xhorhasian enemies, the Empire decides to gift their prized Archmage to the Mighty Nine as a sign of their commitment to making the peace last.
