I noticed your edits on your user page and would like to thank you for your work. However, Fanlore is not the place to publish your fanfiction.

Fanlore is neither a fanworks archive nor a blogging platform, and your user page is not your personal (or fannish) website. Please remove your fic and see Help:User page and our article on what Fanlore is not for further information. Fanlore is also not a space to advertise your professional works, therefore I have already removed the Amazon link you shared. Please do not put it back on your user page because this would be considered either spam or even hostile editing and, in the worst case, could lead to you being banned permanently from Fanlore.

Do you already have an account on the Ao3? It is an archive for fanworks and might be the place you are looking for. Just like Fanlore, it's a nonprofit, gift-economy-focused project of the OTW. Like many other editors and fans on Fanlore, you could even link your account from your info box.

Hi JasonKarpf,

This is a friendly reminder to please remove your fanfiction when you have the chance, as Fanlore is not a platform for hosting fanfiction. You can read more about this on our what Fanlore is not article. Like SecurityBreach mentioned, AO3 is a better platform for your needs, as AO3 is a fanfiction archive, while Fanlore is a wiki. We will remove your fanfiction from your page after another week.

Hi JasonKarpf,

Thank you so much for removing the fic.

I see you have decided to add categories to your user page. Unfortunately, this is something we usually don't do on Fanlore. User pages belong to the Fanlore contributors category and I would like to suggest to add the user profile info box template to your page instead. This would sort your page into the category it belongs.

Fanlore offers some great pages for new editors where you can learn a lot about our wiki. This article would be a great place to start. As always, I wish you a great time on Fanlore and happy editing. SecurityBreach (talk) 07:05, 31 October 2023 (UTC)
