Killa's involvement in fandom began in 1994, when she discovered the Star Trek fan message board alt.sex.fetish.startrek. She began writing Kirk/Spock fanfic in late 1994. She was briefly involved in Sentinel, Starsky and Hutch and Wiseguy fandoms before immersing herself in Highlander fandom in 1998. In 2000, she helped to make her first collaborative fanvid ("Don't Fear the Reaper," with Melina and Luminosity), and made her first solo fanvids in the spring of 2001 ("Vasoline," a Hard Core Logo vid, and "Dante's Prayer," Star Trek). Using Photoshop, she has created photo collage fanart for slash zines in several fandoms including Star Trek, Sentinel, due South, Highlander, and Wiseguy; most notably, she contributed heavily to the Highlander zine Futures Without End issues II, III, and IV.

To date, she has made over a hundred solo and collaborative vids, produced zine illustrations, and written a number of stories for the Star Trek, Wiseguy, Highlander, Angel, Deadwood, Jeremiah, and Supernatural fandoms. She is also the maintainer and archivist for ksarchive.com (the Kirk/Spock Fanfiction Archive) and hlfiction.net (the automated Highlander fiction archive). She has written stories and made vids under the pseudonyms Killa, Killashandra, and Rose Singer.
