The Ormand Factor is a two part Star Wars novel written and published in the UK (Scotland) by Louise Turner. Both have covers by Gerald Crotty.
These zines have a sister zine called Skyhook's Legacy that "features characters introduced in "The Ormand Factor" and other stories set in Louise Turner's interpretation of Star Wars." [1]
The Author Comments
Luke and Wedge do get to work as a team in at least one other story, which is kind of a sequel to "A.W.O.L.". But it won't be what you're expecting, I assure you! And they don't get trashed either! Believe it or not, I don't often trash my characters. Well, not very often, anyway. I think Ormand was my piece de resistance in trashing! (Phew! I hear Luke and Wedge say, in unison...) [2]
Issue 1
The Ormand Factor 1 was published in 1993 and is 166 pages. It won an Honorable Mention in the Star aWards for 1994 Best Foreign zine.
From an ad in Southern Enclave: "Join Wedge Antilles and Luke Skywalker as they struggle against the remnants of the Imperial forces in a race to discover the truth behind the old spacer's rumors of an alien power source in the Outer Rim."

The Ormand Factor 2 was published in 1995 and is 212 pages. It won an Honorable Mention in the Star aWards for 1995 Best Novel as well as winning the 1995 Best Cover Artist for front cover.
From an ad in Southern Enclave: "Join Luke Skywalker and Wedge Antilles for the conclusion of Louise Turner's novel, where our intrepid heroes run into the kind of trouble that wouldn't seem out of place in a story by Carolyn Golledge!"
