The Less Than Legendary Journeys is a shared universe fanfiction site for Hercules: The Legendary Journeys and Young Hercules. The site hosts fanfiction by a group of writers including Helena Handbasket, Ltlj, Naomi Prince, Liz S., Carolyn Golledge, Fyresong, Mary Crawford, and their various pseudonyms. They wrote stories that were all part of the same shared universe, which includes collaborations as well as sequels and prequels to each other's stories. The site specializes in comedy, and its mission is to be as irreverent and strange as the original show. There are some serious angst and hurt/comfort stories, and genres include gen, het, and slash. There is also an image archive, and a section for non-fiction essays and commentary on the fandom.
The archive also has a zine, The Less Than Legendary Journeys.

- Spurious Scenes - Helena Handbasket's Spurious Scenes..."So one of the funnest things, in my opinion, about Xena: Warrior Princess and Hercules: the Legendary Journeys is all the subtext that goes on in the dialogue and visuals. However, I'm never one to pass up an opportunity for some mischief, so I've decided to create a game out of mixing and matching scenes and dialogue that conveniently generate previously non-existent innuendo when juxtaposed."
