The Brady Bunch is a Paramount family sitcom series which revolves around a large blended family with six children. Due to it became popular staple in syndication, the series led to several spinoffs: The Brady Bunch Hour (1976–77), The Brady Brides (1981), and The Bradys (1990). The Brady Bunch Movies (1995, 1996, 2002 films) are an satirical comedy adaption of the series.

The fandom for the series is fairly small, although it often inspires fusions/AUs for other fandoms.

As of 2015, the meme of "Sure, Jan" quickly became popular, as did Jan's relationship with "George Glass".

Pairing Greg/Marcia, Jan/Peter, and Bobby/Cindy was common in fan works due to both the "it's not incest if they're only stepsiblings" angle plus the actors and actresses for all three pairs having had a romantic connection during the filming of the show. Additionally, a teenage Barry Williams took his TV mother Florence Henderson on a date, leading to the Greg/Carol pairing.

Adult fanfiction sites often hosted explicit incest stories, sometimes mixing up the pairings or going for full-on orgies. Such fiction was rarely treated seriously, however, often seen as a joke that the fans were corrupting a wholesome family sitcom. Very rarely were these feelings actually explored in-depth.
