The Secret Adventures of Jules Verne was a steampunk tv series on the Sci-Fi Channel in 2000. The plot concept is predicated on a vast fictional conspiracy beginning with the revelation that Jules Verne did not merely write the stories behind his famous classic science fiction books but actually experienced these adventures personally.
The television show is part costume drama and part spy show and part science fiction. Phileas Fogg is a spy in Victorian England as is his sister, Rebecca Fogg. Jules Verne is an impoverished student in Paris and is portrayed as being in his early twenties. He is a struggling author who has managed to produce a few plays but nothing much else.
