I'm really unsure about this one. We've talked about it a few times in the past, but now that I've added it to a few pages I don't really know concretely where the best place for the box to go is—the last category before references? The references category? After all the footnotes? Category:2017 Featured Articles has several examples if anyone wants to check them out and share their thoughts—I'll hold off on adding the template to all the pages we've featured this year until we have some idea what we want to standardise. --PriscillaD (talk) 03:24, 23 December 2017 (UTC)

Not Sorting

How come when you add this tag to the bottom of an article it no longer adds this page to the Past Featured Articles categories? Like look at Category:2017 Featured Articles, Category:2018 Featured Articles and Category:2019 Featured Articles, these categories used to be full, listing all the past featured articles. Also when you used to add this tag to the article the category would automatically be added to the page. I like the new look, but we need to fix this -- Kingstoken (talk) 10:20, 11 March 2019 (UTC)

Two Boxes

I've noticed that we have two boxes for Featured Articles, this one and Template:Featured ArticleNavBox2, I'm wondering if we need two, they basically serve the same purpose. Is there some way we could combine these two? Especially if we don't have to go through and relabel every featured article from the past few years -- Kingstoken (talk) 20:24, 16 February 2023 (UTC)

Personally, I'd vote to delete the NavBox2 template. It's only used on 8 pages so it'd be easy to go through and update those to use this template instead. We also have Template:Featured ArticleNavBox - that isn't used on any pages, so can probably be deleted too. For comparison, the Previously Featured Article template is used on 293 pages. --Auntags (talk) 20:54, 16 February 2023 (UTC)
