Template talk:FanloreProject
Alright so after having to rollback some edits (sorry Bikedancelaugheat), apparently we cannot add the {{NAMESPACE}} or {{FULLPAGENAME}} markeup to a subpages list if we want the subpages to actually show up. Apparently subpages for pages under namespaces are categorized as PAGE/SUBPAGE, and not under the namespace parent (ie, the subpages for the YouTube Project are considered "YouTube Fandom" subpages by the system, not "FanloreProject:YouTube Fandom" subpages). I double checked, and this also occurs on other namespace subpages, so apparently this is just an overall MediaWiki thing. Thank you for your forethought, though! --Punkpixieprince (talk) 21:10, 23 February 2019 (UTC)
- Ooh, interesting! Weird that--on a page that has no subpages--when the code returns a redlink to a different page, it's working, and when it looks like it's working, it's not.
- Many thanks for figuring that out, Punkpixieprince! :)
- (And yeah, I forgot to check a Fanlore Project that actually has subpages to see if my edit worked in the real world. *facepalms* I'm glad this had more than one pair of eyes on it!)

Subpages still not displaying in template[Update:seems to be fixed]
I don't understand the explanation above, but subpages are still not being displayed when FanloreProjects use this template. E.g. FanloreProject:Naruto's infobox say "Subpage(s): showparent=no has no subpages to list. " even though the project DOES have two subpages: FanloreProject:Naruto/NavBox and FanloreProject:Naruto/meta. -- Quaelegit (talk) 23:23, 4 June 2023 (UTC)
- OKAY FIXED. looks like "FULLPAGENAME" magicword works now, so I've added it back to the template. Probably thanks to updating our version of Mediawiki last fall (thank you Gardeners!!) 23:44, 4 June 2023 (UTC)
