Comics vs TV show

Currently the intro is written like this page is just about the comic series, but all of the fanworks seem to be about the TV show. However, there was definitely fannish activity for the comic series. I'm not into either fandom enough to know if they should be different pages (I suspect the answer is probably "no" or at least "not yet" given how new the show is and how, from my understanding, it's very close to the comics) but should we make sure to give the two mediums a little more separation or something and even the page out a little? Eg, by looking for pre-TV show fanworks and other information?

Also, currently the page is the My Chemical Romance category... should it be? They struck me as really odd. - Hoopla (talk) 18:45, 9 March 2019 (UTC)

I separated out the comics vs. tv show fanwork examples. I had added the MCR category because the comic book fandom and MCR fandom overlap considerably because of Gerard Way. But I also added references to the Umbrella Academy to other MCR-related pages, so that may be enough. I'm not sure.
I also tried to make clearer what referred to the comics and what referred to the show. I imagine it will need to be rewritten/expanded as the show fandom develops. I haven't seen the show yet, so I don't know what the canon differences are or how those differences will affect the fanworks.--aethel (talk) 14:36, 10 March 2019 (UTC)
Should there be two seperate pages one for the show and one for the show and one for the series?--User:Rum_with_Pineapples (talk) 03:56, 18 October 2022 (UTC)
Yes, I think separate pages would be beneficial and allow the tv fandom more room to grow. Based on AO3 numbers it looks like the tv fandom is much bigger than the comics fandom.--aethel (talk) 21:16, 5 November 2022 (UTC)
