How is this any different than the Transformers Generation One Cartoon page? It even appears that the two pages share some copy-pasted information, but not everything is copy-pasted. They look like they're discussing the exact same cartoon but with a little bit of different info spread throughout the two pages. Patchlamb (talk) 20:22, 22 December 2020 (UTC)
- Because I feel that these two pages are basically the same thing (the cartoon page even admits fans do not distinguish between this "G1 fandom" and the "G1 cartoon fandom," if there was any distinction at all), I would like to combine their information into a page called "The Transformers (TV series)" based off of how Wikipedia has named the page for the TV series. (I guess they just dropped the 'the' in recent times, but seems the old original cartoon had a 'the' in front of it). My question for after that is if the regular "Transformers" page needs to be changed into a disamb page and have its contents moved to a page called "Transformers (fandom)" as that page covers the fandom as whole while the pages for specific comic series/shows focus on specific universes' fandoms. Permission to delete this page so I can make a new one where this one and Transformers Generation One Cartoon are combined? Patchlamb (talk) 17:45, 26 December 2020 (UTC)
- I'm not familiar with this fandom, but you've given notice for your proposed changes and if there is no objection from other editors in the next week or two, I think you should go ahead and make this change. If the fandom doesn't distinguish between the source materials then it makes sense for both of them to be discussed on the one Fanlore page. --Auntags (talk) 22:09, 28 December 2020 (UTC)
- There has been no opposition 2 weeks after my initial proposals, so pages have been merged here. Same for the films, info was moved to Bayverse and the redundant film page was deleted. The movie for Bumblebee may need its own page if I or someone else gets around to it. Patchlamb (talk) 20:26, 9 January 2021 (UTC)
