Help for creating a character page

SecurityBreach, enchantedsleeper and another editor I need a help. I really like the mummy movie and the editing on the site. However, creating character pages wasn't very difficult until I came across Evelyn O'Connell. Evie born Carnahan, is a figure I'm a little embarrassed to name without an opinion. I thought of putting her page as uniquely Evelyn to avoid last name disputes, as to whether or not to use your maiden and married name. Because I would prefer to use your maiden name, but it is likely that some will prefer your married name, while others will only want to use his nickname, which can also be spelled Evy - depending on the fan's taste. What do you think? make the page Evelyn (The Mummy) and enter in it all the information about your name, surname, nickname/pet name, past life and the like. Couldn't we just list her under Evy? Like I don't know a lot about the fandom, but every time I see tumblr posts about The Mummy everybody seems to refer to her as Evy, until now I didn't even realize her name was Evelyn. As for the last name you could either leave it off altogether, or pick the most commonly used last name, and then redirect her other full to the page. -- Kingstoken (talk) 19:49, 26 August 2021 (UTC)

I do not think so. You see in the books it's Evie, for the fans it's Evy, there's even someone who writes Evye. I think I go with her name without mentioning anything else and it is up to the editors to link with code that gives another name for the link to the referenced article. One precedent for using Evelyn is that we have the ship page Rick/Evelyn, so this would be consistent with that. I think we can create redirects for both Evelyn O'Connell and Evelyn Carnahan, and also things like Evie O'Connell and Evie Carnahan. Whatever we think fans might be searching for.

It doesn't look like we have a pure "Evelyn" page - should we create a disambig, since there are some other character and People pages with the name Evelyn? --enchantedsleeper (talk) 22:40, 26 August 2021 (UTC)
