User:Enchantedsleeper when you first mentioned on discord that you wanted to make a page for this, you said "It has prompted Debate", but there's nothing on the page about this. From looking at notes on the tumblr posts and comments on the AO3 mirrors, I see:
- OP got the definition of Dead Dove: Do Not Eat wrong (or at least failed to explain the multiple ways it gets used) link comment comment 2

- the guides' distinction on beginning vs. endnotes being more personal preference than community norm link comment, AO3 comment agreeing with OP
- Further elaboration about how original character tags get used in prompt-fills and challenges; also about "be nice to tag-wranglers" comment by downtroddendeity
- AO3 has five fic ratings not four because "Not Rated" should be counted AO3 comment (with author response)
- Lots of discussion about how AO3's ratings map to movie ratings in different countries (Australia comment, Germany comment Maybe this one too? [there's more]
- When to tag Major Character Death (warning, vs. freeform tags; more specifics AO3 comment
- When to use the romantic Categories (M/M, F/F, Other, etc) in various unclear situations (all the comments on Ch 6 and Ch. 7 basically. another AO3 comment
- incidentally not a critique other people have brought up but OP gets it slightly wrong about synned tags appearing in "top tags" in the filter sidebar tool AO3 comment -- i only know this b/c i was just investigating synned Original Character tags over on Talk:Astarion lol.
- definition of drabbles (exactly 100 words? Overlap with ficlets, one-shots, etc?) AO3 comment thread

- "Established tags" on ao3 and how to use them?? Ao3 comment
- Whether to use demographic tags (e.g. "Nonbinary character", "woman of color") if it's not a point of focus, or even explicitly stated, in the fic AO3 comment

- Quaelegit I'm afraid I don't remember wanting to make this page (and it wasn't ultimately made by me, so... I obviously didn't get around to it xD) Looking at the page itself, I vaguely think it might have been because of the creator presenting it as definitive or being prescriptive about how authors "should" handle metatext on AO3, but that's purely a vague memory/guess and I wouldn't know where to look for sources to back it up, beyond what you've already found. --enchantedsleeper (talk) 22:39, 18 November 2023 (UTC)
