Talk:Star Trek: The Original Series
I don't know where to link pairing pages so that they are easy to find and click from this main page. I wanted to link the Spock/Chapel page I made, but I don't see anywhere where it might fit. The only pairing this talks about is Kirk/Spock and I'm not sure in which place to expand. :/ Maybe we could figure out how to shuffle things a bit so that other pairings get a place too?--RatCreature 23:49, 4 August 2010 (UTC)
- Moving the History section to its own page might help.--æthel 00:28, 5 August 2010 (UTC)
- hm yeah. Or maybe just the timeline? Then it would be like with the The Professionals Timeline.--RatCreature 08:02, 5 August 2010 (UTC)
Adding a section on Fan Music/Filks?
Hello, I just came across this page, Spock Rock: The Lost Episodes Of Star Schlep, among the orphaned pages. I wondered if it was ok to add a section of examples of TOS fan music on this page. As well, what should the name of the section be? I know filk is the contemporary term, but I'm not sure if it's ok to use that as the sole term, as not all music would be using or imitating contemporary folk music. - Good questions. Ideally, we'd have a separate page for "Star Trek Fan Music" (there's probably a better title) to talk about all the kinds and to have examples. The "Spock Rock" page could have a section called "Similar Fanworks" with a very short explanation and a link to that page. --MPH (talk) 12:47, 28 July 2022 (UTC)
- I'm going to go ahead and make a new page (if people have a better idea of a title, we can always change it. --MPH (talk) 12:52, 28 July 2022 (UTC)
- Thank you so much! The page looks amazing! WhitedSepu (talk) 00:35, 29 July 2022 (UTC)
Adding a section on other types of fanworks?
I just came across a fan-made game in the orphaned pages. It's not a video game, but something closer to a board game: Star Trek Battle Manual. I wondered whether a "miscellaneous" section on the main TOS page should be added to allow for fanworks that aren't fic/zines, meta, art, or vids.
I did check the Fan Game page, which limits the definition to video games, so I did not link the Battle Manual to that page.
UPDATE: I found a fan film as well: Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan: The Audio Dub WhitedSepu (talk) 07:30, 29 July 2022 (UTC)
