German book on HP slash

Googling the fics on this page led me to this German book, Harry Potter que(e)r: Eine Filmsaga im Spannungsfeld von Queer Reading, Slash-Fandom und Fantasyfilmgenre by Vera Cuntz-Leng. It quotes a passage from "Shadow Play" and references "You Can't Argue with Your Heart" and I think other stories from Slug & Jiggers Apothecary. Perhaps a German speaker can give a quick rundown of what's being discussed? Anything of interest? --sparc 05:51, 26 September 2017 (UTC)

Hi sparc, I did look over the Google Book preview for the two fics mentioned, unfortunately the pages where the works are cited/mentioned are not included in the Book preview. So unless, somebody has access to the full book or short of contacting the author and asking for the context, I'm afraid there is nothing that can be summarized what is being discussed. Sorry :-( -- WhatAreFrogs? (talk) 20:25, 25 July 2021 (UTC)
That's too bad. Thank you for checking! --sparc 03:14, 26 July 2021 (UTC)
Hi, I found the introduction online. The book's an academic work (it's actually the author's thesis) that attempts to discuss why the Harry Potter movies are interesting both to readers looking for strategies to undermine dominant cultural interpretations (often in an academic context) and fannish slashers. The author also tries to point out where those groups meet.
I think there could be some good stuff in there. The section you’re looking for might be X.2 Enemy-Slash and/or XI. Slytherin – Transformationen, Metamorphosen, Maskeraden.
The author, Dr Vera Cuntz-Leng, is currently teaching at Marburg University so it is possible to contact her. She worked at the Berkeley Center for New Media, UC Berkeley, before and also writes and publishes in English. --SecurityBreach (talk) 07:18, 26 July 2021 (UTC)
Thank you for all this! It would be great to get hold of the full text, it sounds super interesting. I've started a quick page for Vera Cuntz-Leng for now :) --sparc 00:31, 27 July 2021 (UTC)
Thank you so much for the great new page! It's looking good. If I find something new on the topic, I'll get in touch. --SecurityBreach (talk) 18:04, 27 July 2021 (UTC)
