Should the page be renamed to Daisy Johnson? Since the beginning of Season 3 of Shield, this character uses her birth name Daisy Johnson and the name Skye is only used occasionally. Fitzaby (talk) 14:39, 4 September 2017 (UTC)

Are you prepared to merge her with the comics Daisy, who has a different mother, origin story, adoptive parents, etc? If not, I recommend some way to differentiate them. Thank you for responding. :) A combination is a good idea. Is there much of disagreement anymore though? The ship names are confusing I suppose, Skyeward and Skimmons are still used as ship names even with the name change - that causes some disagreement. But from what I notice, Tumblr, Reddit, and Wikia seem to use Daisy Johnson more than Skye. The Skye tag on Tumblr is full with non-Agents of Shield content. And it's very clear in canon that it's Daisy now, not Skye. Perhaps a good idea would be to include an overview of the name confusion in the article. And yes a comic overview should probably be included before a name change. I'll see if I tweak the article but no promises. :) Fitzaby (talk) 09:05, 5 September 2017 (UTC)

I agree to a combination and to an overview, definitely! I would just suggest being careful in the overview not to over-generalize, as there are some shipping politics in the name change (which has swapped sides, oh joy), so we get that washed up from time to time on the AO3 side.
