Talk:Rooster Teeth (company)
Page Guidelines
Because Rooster Teeth is a huge and complex company with a lot of different content, sister sites, channels and fandoms, we've crafted a general guideline to help with editing and knowing what goes on these related pages. These guidelines are not set in stone and are to help, not hinder. As things are added, we may need to adjust them to better reflect the living nature of the wiki. If you have any questions or additions, please feel free to bring them up on the YouTube Project talk page. Current page guidelines:
- If you add a new Rooster Teeth-related page, please add it to Category:Rooster Teeth.
Things that go on Rooster Teeth (company)
- Canon history of the company overall
- Overarching page for Rooster Teeth content, both the behind the scenes and fictional entertainment, ie Camp Camp, Funhaus, The Rooster Teeth Podcast, RT Animated, Off Topic, The Know, On The Spot, etc. (Subfandoms with their own pages are redirected; X-Ray & Vav goes under AH.)
- Extra Life info (until we make an Extra Life page)
- April Fools policies
- Tropes associated with the Rooster Teeth company (or fandoms that don't yet have their own pages)
Things that go on Rooster Teeth RPF
- This is where we talk about the overarching company RPF, with a focus on non-AH members since that has it's own page
- Eleven Little Roosters
- Tropes associated with RT RPF that isn't AH-specific (aka, Extra Life fanworks, Ryan/Meg from The Know, or anything involving Blaine Gibson or Jon Risinger)
Things that go on Achievement Hunter
- For specifically AH fandom stuff, including RPF
- Fake AH Crew
- X-Ray & Vav
- RageHappy (in respect to how it's not just mavin)
- Minecraft LPs
- Tropes associated with AH

moving portions of this page to Achievement Hunter?
This page focuses mainly on the Achievement Hunter portion of Rooster Teeth, with almost no focus on their other work. There's almost nothing about their animation work (which is what they're actually known for), podcasts, or their annual charity event Extra Life. The Youtube Fandom Project has been discussing and we think that most of this page should probably go onto a new Achievement Hunter page. Currently, both Achievement Hunter and Achievement Hunter RPF redirect here, which kind of illustrates the problem. 06:15, 9 March 2019 (UTC)
- Achievement Hunter, Rooster Teeth (company) and Rooster Teeth RPF are now separate pages, with Rooster Teeth as a disambig.
This page, as it appears now, is no longer technically the page that was the Fanlore Featured Article. For a more accurate version of the page that was featured, please see Rooster Teeth RPF --Punkpixieprince (talk) 02:52, 16 March 2019 (UTC)
notable fanwork deletion: wanna teach you a lesson in the worst kind of way
is there a reason this one story was deleted?--MeeDee (talk) 07:56, 15 February 2015 (UTC)
- wanna teach you a lesson in the worst kind of way? notable fanworks always come down to personal opinion, but this fic is not exactly a neutral force. that particular story revolves around light bdsm themes. I put it on the list and I'd like to put it back - it's got 23,000 hits and almost 700 kudos. At one point in time it was one of the most popular fics in the fandom by those measurements, and I personally believe it's wonderful on many levels and exemplifies the best traits of the Ragehappy fandom. Perhaps that's too much personal opinion. epidote (talk) 08:08, 15 February 2015 (UTC)
I don't know why Jj-lee-jeroski deleted that fic. I agree that it's a notable work, and I've put it back on the list. --Vertiga (talk) 08:56, 15 February 2015 (UTC)
